Blogger Followers to Linky Followers...............

I don't know if you're aware but I've seen many Blogs with a new Linky Blog Followers Widget in preparation for Google/Blogger removing their Followers Widget.

Bit of a pain I know and I don't know how it's going to work in the reading list or if we have to go into our Linky Account in order to see what everyone you Follow is doing ...

If you would still like to see what I'm up to please add yourself to my new Followers Linky List.

I had a little trouble adding the widget as it wouldn't paste into my Layout Widget Gadget ... If you have the same problem and are using Internet Explorer it won't work ... I managed to get it to work by going through Safari.

Hope you still want to Follow me.

Hugs

Play Date Cafe Colour Splash - Hot Pink.........

.............When I realised I made a big boob Here ............ I had another go lol!

It isn't part of the original set though....

I've used my old Hero Arts Ribbons Set ... I haven't got a shade for the Hot Pink ink pad but this is an old pigment pad that was ideal as it was a strong pink shade.

Black Memento again and I used the DieCuts in the same format as on my original set.

The Sentiment is from Hero Arts Everyday Sayings.

I hope you like my extra option.

I think I'll also add this as an extra entry to this weeks Less Is More Challenge

Many thanks for looking

Beautiful Blue Butterflies.............

Well going back to this Post Here .... This is what I was trying to do originally but I made the background too busy when I started at first.

Still mixing my Hero Arts Dogwoods.

Here's a close-up of my main DieCuts Section.

Very simple stamping on this one ... I've inked the stamps with Hero Arts Soft Stone Shadow Ink and then coloured with a Powder Blue Promarker and blended with the Promarker Blender.

The layers have been assembled with silicone glue ... dotted with Opal White Liquid Pearls ... Butterflies have been attached with Glossy Accents.

The Sentiment is from a Stampin' Up! Set and I've stamped the inside with Birthday Cheer & Wishes ... Both have been inked with Stormy Sky Distress Ink.

The Butterfly close-up to show the detail ... Love, love these Framelits!

Many thanks for looking

DieCuts Galore...............

Warning............. Long Post lol!

My first intention was to enter this into the Challenge over at The Play Date Cafe which is Colour Splash but I didn't read the instructions properly and missed the Hot Pink bit and didn't realise until I finished this little set ............ so I will obviously not be entering this into that Challenge ..... that will teach me lol!

Luckily I can enter this into a couple of other Challenges which are using a similar set up.

Less Is More Theme is Punched or Die Cuts
Our Creative Corner is Black & White with a Splash of Colour
and of course Hero Arts for this month is Friendship, Hello and DieCuts

I've managed to use something old, something new and something in between for this little Gift Set
Just have to create a little matching box to place them all in.

Stamped onto a plain white Card I've used Black Memento with HA Woven Texture (Textures & Patterns Set) and HA Friend (Fancy Script Messages Set) over the top DieCut Flower and Foliage is from the HA Floral Framelits Set ... My Splash is Distress Ink ... Layered with silicone glue.

Little close-up....

Base - Plain white Card again stamped with Black Memento HA Delicate Woven Fibres and HA Enjoy Sentiment Stamp (Fancy Script Messages Set) .... I stamped the Flower Stem directly onto the Card on this one and just added my Flower (HA Floral Framelit Set) as a DieCut ... again I attached the DieCut pieces with silicone glue.

Another little close-up.

Base - Plain white Card again stamped with Black Memento HA Dot Pattern (HA Textures & Patterns) and HA Wishes Sentiment Stamp (Fancy Script Messages Set) .... My Flower is a DieCut again (HA Floral Framelit Set) ... I attached the DieCut pieces with silicone glue.

Close-up of my Flower.

Base - Plain white Card again stamped with Black Memento HA Cross-hatch Texture (HA Textures & Patterns) and HA Gratitude Sentiment Stamp (Fancy Script Messages Set) .... I stamped the Flower Stems directly onto the Card on this one and just added my Flower (HA Floral Framelit Set) as a DieCut ... again I attached the DieCut pieces with silicone glue.

Well I'm off to enter these into the Challenges.

Hubby's Birthday Card 2012................

.................Anyone for Golf!

I've become a Golf Widow lol!

I don't know about everyone popping by but I find Men's Cards more and more difficult as time goes by..............   Hubby's card is no exception.

So this is my attempt for his Birthday Card this year...........

A fairly simple option this year ..... I hope he likes it but I'm not sure about it myself  ...  don't think it's my greatest creation lol!

I inked up the background with my HA Envelope Pattern Stamp first of all with Shabby Shutters Distress Ink and then embossed with my Argyle Cuttlebug Embossing Folder (thinking of the socks lol!)

Then I used SU Pocket Silhouettes and SU Sincere Salutations Stamps in Peeled Paint Distress Ink for my Sentiment and greenery at the base.

I've had the plastic Golf Club for ages and can't remember where I got it but it fit perfectly for this ... I've added a little clear dew drop for my Golf Ball.

My Flag and Green are cut from a Quickutz Die ... coloured with Distress Inks and a silver marker for the pole ..  it's attached with foam pads.

Hope he likes it!

Love, Love These New Hero Arts Framelet Dies.........

If you visit me often you will be aware that I love Die Cuts and Die Cutting in many forms ...

These new Hero Arts Framelets fit the bill perfectly for me lol!

I ummed and ahhhed over getting this set at first as I was really just after that perfect butterfly and thought I would be duplicating my Dogwood Rose but the fact that I now have two sizes of Dogwood stamp is wonderful as I can combine the two in one card .... Perfect!
(yes there is another card to follow and sorry it is using blue shades again)

I seem to go through colour phases and this time it's in the blue colour spectrum ... and I'm still slightly in the Clean & Simple mode.

Here's a close-up of the main section ... loads of layers on this one ... and a little stitching!

I stamped in Stormy Sky Distress Ink and coloured in Promarkers ... all layers have been attached with foam pads.

Hero Arts Everyday Sayings Set for my Sentiments

A close-up of that gorgeous butterfly ... I was after this stamp for so long but didn't want the other butterflies that went with it as I already had a few so I'm so glad it's in the Framelet Set.

Many thanks for looking

Penny Black Saturday Challenge...... Missed.......

............continues!

Well this is the Card I produced for the Challenge after this one which was a CASE Challenge.

I've followed it loosely as I didn't finish it in time again...........

Still using my lovely little Bird on a Basket.

I've used my HA Envelope Stamp Background with Stormy Sky Distress Ink .. The Sentiment is also HA and I think it might be from the 'Everyday Sayings Clear Stamp Set' ... Brown Memento Ink for my Outlines and Sentiment ... Spellbinder Flower Dies for my Layers ... Promarkers for my colouring and lastly an EK Success Punch for my middle layer panel.

Of course I had to add some stitching!

Well, I must try to complete Cards before the Challenge ends lol!

Many thanks for looking

Should Have Been..............

.................... A Penny Black Saturday Challenge Entry for 'Floral Frenzy' two weeks ago but I didn't finish it in time lol!

I had every intention of entering this in time but still had to finish the stitching and work got in the way..............

Here's a close-up of the image

Don't you just love that little bird.......

I loved this little stamp as soon as I saw it but didn't buy it straight away ... then I took the plunge when The Glitter Pot was having a sale and bought another Penny Black Sale Stamp at the same time.

You can imagine my disappointment (I could have cried) when it arrived, the rubber had perished and it looked as if it had been inked and not cleaned....................... but The Glitter Pot Customer Service is perfect .. as soon as I phoned them they luckily had another one which they popped in the post to me straight away with a stamped addressed envelope to return the perished one and it arrived the next day ........... Perfect Customer Service! ...  I do love to shop there, they have everything!

The background Flower Stamp is also by Penny Black and I've just coloured the flowers.

I used Promarkers and a Promarkers Blender Marker for my colouring .. The corners have been rounded with a corner rounder and I've punched one corner with a Martha Stewart Punch.

My next Post will be a continuation as I also tried to enter the next weeks Challenge at Penny Black Saturday but you've guessed it.................Work got in the way again (I do hate it when my shift falls on a weekend)

Many thanks for looking.

Very Spooky!...........

I created the following card the other day and while uploading my previous card to HA Flickr I was shocked and surprised (haven't browsed for a while) when I went onto my friend Barb's Photostream to find a very, very similar card to mine ... I don't do Copy so it was very spooky!

Here is my Mine! .... Here is Barbs!
Spooky isn't it!

I was playing with my HA Dogwood Rose Stamp and the new Framelet Version and wanted to combine them and use the larger version for my background but it didn't quite work right  ... so I altered it as I had the perfect ribbon to match the lighter shade and wanted to use the Memory Box Dies that dropped through my letterbox a couple of weeks ago ... I've used HA Stone Shadow Ink for my shadow image and HA Italian Poetry Stamp and HA Soft Stone Shadow ink for my darker flowers.

Here's a close-up of the background....

And here is a close-up of the Sentiment!

Everything is Hero Arts.

As mentioned before .. I don't do Copy so I was a bit reluctant to upload ...

Barb, it must be great minds think alike lol!

Many thanks for looking

Ivy, Butterfly & Brick Gift Set.........

Well the mojo has gone a little AWOL at the moment but I made this a little while ago and realised I hadn't shared it yet ... it's been sitting in my camera so long.............

As you can see .. still loving Cards with matching Gift Boxes.

This little set has a lot of detail and intricate hand cutting ... great effect though and I'm really pleased how it turned out.

The embossing Folder is a Tim Holtz Texture Fade (Love this one!) and I've used Distress Inks everywhere ... Hero Arts Stamps (haven't got the reference numbers to hand at the mo)

I stamped the ivy in a lighter shade before I embossed to create a shadow for my cut ivy layer.
This is the Gift Box Front and I used a Spellbinders Label Die which I stamped with an SU Sentiment.

View of the back of the Gift Box.....

Well, what do you think .. Would you be pleased to recieve this little set with goodies inside?

Many thanks for looking

A Shona Share!............

Just a quick share from the last week and the weekend............

We had lovely sunshine on Friday although it was still very cold ... Our little bear loves the sun and we have to leave the back door open in the summer so she can come in and out as she pleases!  We are lucky as we have the sun in out backgarden all day!

So she was being a complete pain as she wanted to keep going outside and I was up and down all day as I had to keep letting her in ... she'd go out and then just stand on the patio.........

Managed to get her in eventually ... It was so funny as Hubby was home early on Friday and she hinted to him by going to where we keep her pillow (behind a two seater settee near the window) and then looked towards the window where the sun was streaming in and then looking at him ... As soon as he'd placed it near the window she leapt on it lol!

She doesn't like her photo taken and usually deliberately looks away but I managed to snap this pic of her out of a couple I took.

And would you believe a day later...............

This is before it really came down and it came up to her belly ... bless her, it was proper snow .. powdery but compact and she was struggling trying to walk through it!

She's still on the steroids but doing well ... had her annual booster at the Vet at the end of January and he was pleased with her so she'll just have to keep taking the tablets.

Have a few ideas on the go but haven't had a chance to complete yet so watch this space!

Many thanks for looking

Hugs
