Beautiful, Beautiful Image over at Moxie Fab World Tuesday Trigger this week .... I've been playing with my Quickutz Silhouette Digital Die Cutting Machine and entering this weeks Challenge was a perfect way to use up some of the Diecuts I've created. This Card was created using a scrap that didn't quite cut correctly (only part of it) but rather than throw it away I thought it would be perfect for this Challenge ... when I saw the pic, it reminded me of my Diecuts.
As my base card is cream and unfortunately I don't have any gingham stamps or this shade of blue in my ink collection I've used the Trigger Photo as inspiration to create this card.
I don't know why the file didn't cut correctly as I'd already cut a try-out which was fine ... anyway the flowers only cut in the sections you can see with a gap under the Hero Arts Stamped Flower ... perfect fit for my Flower lol!
My flower Diecut Close-up.
My Hero Arts Flower ... My Leaves are a £1 Bargain Hero Arts Stamp from my local Craft Shop Crafty Bin.
I've had the ribbon for quite a while but this is the first time I'm using it as it was quite expensive .... I'm hoarding lol!
I've used Versamagic Sea Breeze as this was such a fresh shade of blue ... little pearl embellishment for my flower centre ... I also had a little clip that matched brilliantly so if I need to change the tag for a different occasion I can quickly do an alteration ... My current tag is a Memory Box Die.
I've also layered my Silhouette Cut layer with Foam Pads so it's raised from my base layer so it looks like a fancy screen.
Just a quick share ...... I've had my Silhouette for a number of years and was having a few problems cutting (not cutting out deep enough or cleanly enough ... I've never had it complete miss cutting as it did on this scrap ... think there might have been too much file info and my card was thicker) ... I still have my original blade in the machine and have a replacement in reserve but I recently bought some new mats (for thicker card) and also got some for Christmas and I couldn't believe the difference and how cleanly the cuts were.
So if you are having problems with cutting, don't throw your blade away try a new cutting mat first.
Just a quick add ... I've just found another Challenge over at The Ribbon Reel which the colours of my card fit perfectly and my bloom is Spring like so off course I have to enter it.
I just realised I didn't tell you what my base card is ... It's a lovely ivory shade!
Many thanks for looking
