Still playing ... I've used the Robin from the 'Folk Robins - New Home Card Elements' but if you want just the Robins you can get them HERE

Again I've used my current favourite Hero Arts Stamps (Fab, Fab, Stamp Company)

Just a little close-up of the little birdie ... Glossy Accents on the beak and eye and a little flappy wing.

A little close-up of the Tag & Bow.

Quick Recipe List

HOTP Sentiment Stamp
Distress Inks ~ Bundled Sage, Pine Needles & Fired Brick

Folk Robins ~ New Home Card

After creating my alternative versions of the Xmas Rustic Birdhouse Robins Doodle Artwork ... versions which could be used all year and I thought would be ideal as a New Home/Moving House Card ... Folk Birdhouse - New Home and Rustic Robins - New Home.

Then I had a little brainwave ... How about a 3d Decoupage Card Shape ... Fits onto a 4" Square Card or you can just put it into a 4" Square Envelope.

And so the playing began lol! ... Paper-piecing heaven.

All the pieces ready to assemble.

I stamped my backgrounds using Hero Arts Large Canvas Stripes and Woodgrain Pattern using Brushed Corduroy and Fired Brick Distress Ink.

The Birds were coloured using SU Earth Elements Markers (still need to get some gradient browns in Promarkers/copics)

I've used Foam Pad Dimensionals to raise all the pieces ... the ribbon was threaded through afterwards.

I used my Japanese hole punch to make the holes in the roof and rail ... it was pure coincidence that the hole size actually fitted the punch hole sizes.

Here's the back view.

If you like my little idea and want to create your own version visit Folk Robins - New Home Card at DieCuts & Doodles

p.s ........... Forgot to add ... Showed this to Mum and she wants me to make one especially for a relative in the USA ... Can't believe I have Mothers approval on something lol!

My Westie Reindeer Doodle Meets Hero Arts!

I just love, love my new Hero Arts Stamps ... I'm a Woodblock Girl but I do like these Clings ... I love the Swirl Christmas Clear Design as well but unfortunately I don't like Clear Stamps ... I wish they wood bring it out in Cling or even just the Reindeer as a Woodblock but anyway I digress.

This was my Wreath Inking ... I used clear embossing powder and was going to use this for my Xmas Rustic Birdhouse Robins Card but it wasn't white and clean enough so I recycled lol! ... Just had to add my little Westie Reindeer Doodle.

The Background was stamped using the Fabulous Flourish Background with Old Paper Distress Ink and I then inked over it again with Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder.

Unfortunately the Ribbon doesn't match very well in the photo but it looks fab in real life.

The Tag is a little Quickutz Die

Something A Bit Crafty - Calendar Notebook Xmas Presents!

I've made these a few weeks ago and thought I'd better Post ... the flash has reflected a bit but I thought I'd still share .... individual photos to follow.

Finally managed to get hold of some Grungeboard and Grungepaper and what can I say ......... Wow! .... I just love, love these products.

I wanted to do this little project last year ... I'm so glad I waited and used Grunge.

I'll come clean .... this Notebook on the left is actually a Christmas Present to me lol!

I need a quick reference to see what my Shift Pattern is .... and you never know when you need some paper.

So I thought I'd be a little inventive and created a little Notebook ... just big enough to hold some Paper and a Calendar Notelet .... The type you can attach to a Card.

I got to play with my Bind-it-all too, which has been gathering dust lol!

I embossed my Grungeboard and Paper with my Victoria Cuttlebug Embossing Folder and then inked with Distress Inks ... the Flower and Strap were Embossed with a Spotty Cuttlebug Embossing Folder.

As Mum also needs to know when I'm working (she looks after my fur baby) I thought a Notebook would be excellent as a stocking filler.

I used the same Inks as on my version but a different depth of colour.

Distress Inks used ~ Brushed Corduroy, Aged Mahogany, Fired Brick and Walnut Stain.

I sprayed them all over with a Spray Fixative to seal the colour.

The Grungeboard has also been debossed this time
Here's a view of the inside ...

I used the Grungepaper on the inside to create my pockets for the Notepaper and Calendar.

Luckily I had some Embroidery Thread that matched my inking ... I tried a different thread first of all and had to unpick it all as it wouldn't take the ink.

I love the effect you get ... The finished effect looks like leather.

I've used the Papermania Brad Kit for my Flower centres ....

The Flowers were made using Sizzix Thick Cut Dies ... you probably recognise Tim Holtz's Tattered Floral Die and also his Hardware Findings.

Just a quick side view.

Two more to go ... Little Stocking Fillers for two of my work colleague's ... I'll share a.s.a.p.

My Xmas Rustic Birdhouse Robins Digi Doodle Meets Hero Arts!

I don't know if you can tell .... I really, really enjoyed creating this one ... the Mojo seems to be flowing at the moment lol!

I saw such wonderful creations over at the Hero Art Flickr Group using Old Paper Distress Ink ... I'm still collecting all the colours as I haven't got them all yet so I just had to get this one ... I just loved the delicate look it gives.

I also love the Card Shari Carroll created when she had a day with Pia Overgaard ... It had a Bird in the Hero Arts Wreath ... I just love, love it, so it's the inspiration for this Card.

I created this Digi Doodle to place on the Wreath ... If you would like my Doodle Download please visit HERE for more info.

I've heat embossed the Wreath with White Embossing Powder and then blended the Old Paper Ink over the top.

The Birdhouse Robins Doodle has been coloured with Stampin' Up! Earth Elements Markers to give a watercolour effect ... The Snow is White Glitter and I've used Glossy Accents on the Icicles ... All elements have been attached with 3D Dimensional Foam Pads.

I wanted a luxurious Bow on this one so used Chiffon Ribbon ... tied it once and used the long tails to create a double Bow.

Recipe List
Hero Arts ~ CG215 Wreath Of Leaves
Hero Arts ~ CG119 Flourish Background
Stampin' Up! ~ Sincere Salutations Sentiment
Spellbinder Wizard ~ Scallop Circle Die
Distress Ink ~ Old Paper
White Embossing Powder

I had such great fun playing along with the Play Date Cafe Challenge last week I thought I'd have another go this week ... making sure this week I didn't miss the deadline ... I think I'm just sneaking in by the skin of my teeth lol!

Don't you just love that photo of the Lanterns.

Not a colour scheme I usually use but as soon as I saw the colour combo I knew what I wanted to do.

I've used one of my Digi Doodle Scroll Baubles and teamed it with my favourite Stamp manufacturer Hero Arts ... I think I went a bit overboard with the Cuttlebug embellishments ... what do they say 'less is more' ... oh well, I think I still like it lol!

My 1st Play Date Cafe Challenge #53!

This is my 1st ever play along with The Play Date Challenge ... I regularly see members of the Hero Arts Flickr Gallery play along and when I saw this fabulous photograph I just had to have a go too.

As you can see you from the labelling on the photo you have to use Black & White with a splash of Burgandy (My all time favourite colour).

As you can see I've tried to keep the Card fairly simple and let my Flower do all the talking.
