Wooo hoo! ~ Finally Got Some Kraft ~ Folksy Xmas Card

Finally managed to get some Kraft ... A pack of 10 of each different size Cards and 10 Sheets to adapt ... Lovely ridged texture and if you're interested I got them from QVC (was intending to add the link but they've Sold Out - will add the item number later just in case they get stock in again)

The Hero Arts Big Holiday Words Stamp was a bargain at my local Craft Shop ... I've been after this for a while and can't believe I only paid £4.99 ... they were clearing out their HA Stamps and I think this must have been old stock.

I stamped over the Kraft with my HA Large Canvas Stripes so the ridge texture runs one way and the stamp pattern runs the opposite way ... love the effect it's created.

I've wanted this SU Dasher Stamp for ages when I first saw it (I thought it was an old stamp so thought I wouldn't be able to get hold of it) .... fortunately it was available in the UK in the Mini Cat and is now in the main catalogue .... doesn't it go beautifully with Hero Arts Stamps.

Quick Recipe List
Hero Arts ~ S5076 Big Holiday Words
Hero Arts ~ S5433 Large Canvas Stripes
Stampin' Up! ~ Dasher
HOTP ~ Xmas Sentiment
Spellbinder Wizard Dies
Tim Holtz ~ Alterations Die
Distress Ink ~ Brushed Corduroy
Versafine ~ Red Ink Pad
Cream Card & QVC Kraft Textured Card
Red Chiffon Ribbon and Embroidery Thread from my stash

Jolly Snowmen ~ Project Finished at last! ~ Penny Black Saturday Challenge!

I have been a bit naughty with my posting lately but I have been busy in the background.

I'm ashamed to say that this has been stashed in a box (along with his pals) waiting to be completed for a very long time ...... Pre-distress Inks so that tells you how old it is lol!

I actually embossed the card with white embossing powder and various Snowflake Stamps (mainly Hero Arts) and then watercoloured with a blue wash.

The red shade is a mix of a Perfect Pearls type powder and red acrylic paint ... You can't see the shimmer very well here but I have taken a close-up so hopefully you can see in that pic.

The Snow on the Penny Black Snowman's Hat and around his base is a white sparkle glitter which is fab .... The large Snowflake behind is heat embossed but unfortunately the shine doesn't show very well in the pic.

I tend to do one off cards so creating a set was quite fun now I've actually finished them.

Many thanks for looking

Edited to add .... I'm going through a phase of making these Triangle Cards at the mo if you hadn't noticed .... If you would like to have a go I've drawn around the Card and created a PDF

Edited further to add ... This fits this weeks Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is Zig-Zags or Triangles so I just had to enter.

What better Stamps to work along with it but my fav stamp manufacturer Hero Arts and this is the result.

I've used my brand new Fab Flourish and an old Christmas Writing Stamp with Tim Holtz Fired Brick Distress Ink.

No stitching again .... think I'd better go and lie down lol!

Blue Flower Medley!

This has been waiting on my desk to be completed .... I thought I'd better get on with it before I did anything else lol!

I've used the Flower Medley HA Stamp which I'd had my eye on for some time but when I got it I just looked at it without inking ... naughty me.

I teamed it with one of my older HA Writing Stamps and an SU Sentiment ... the Gems and Glossy Accents MS Butterfly embellishments just seemed to finish it off.

Fabulous Flourish & Flower ~ For You!

Still playing lol!

This time I've teamed that Fab Flourish with a Sizzix Die Cut Flower.

A little more detail with this one ... I knew I wanted to use my MS Eyelet Lace Punch this time so I worked out where I wanted it to be on my Card and then once punched, masked off the side and stamped with Soft Sand Shadow Ink ... I then embroidered the punched edge of this piece.

I inked the edge of the triangle card so that it would sit under the MS punching and also embroidered this edge.

I then cut the Sizzix Flower pieces .... the larger one was inked completely with the Soft Sand Shadow Ink .... I then stamped the smaller flower all over with a small Hero Arts Flower stamp ... I also stamped the flower so I could create the Brad centre ... I used my Stamen again in white and another Gold Papermania Brad.

The 'For You' Sentiment is from Stampin' Up! and I inked it with Metallic Gold Ink.

Another quick Recipe recap

Fabulous Flourish & Flower ~ Best Wishes!

I've been playing with my newest addition, Fabulous Flourish from Hero Arts and what can I say ..... it's FAB!

I've had these Triangle Cards for ages and I stumbled across them the other day and thought the Flourish would go well with them.

As you can see I've tried to keep it simple ..... the Flourish has been stamped with my Hero Arts Soft Sand Shadow Ink ... I then embroidered the edges of the triangle ... slit the sides and attached my Chiffon Bow.

The Flower embellishment is made with a Stampin' Up! Punch (White), Stamped Flower (Soft Sand),  Punched Stamen (White) and a Papermania Gold Brad (just love, love these) the centre piece was stamped with Soft Sand and Hero Arts texture background stamp ... I embossed the flower petals to give them some definition.

The Best Wishes Sentiment is from Stampin' Up! and I used a Metallic Gold Ink Pad.

Quick Recipe recap.

Beautiful Blogger Award!

I've been really lucky today and received this lovely Award from Joyce (Gram's Treasures).

I have to let you all know 7 interesting things about myself and pass it on to 7 people I think are deserving of this lovely Award.

Well the easy bit is passing it on to 7 lovely deserving people .... the hard bit is finding anything interesting about myself never mind 7 things lol!

Well, here goes......

1.  My favourite time of year is Christmas .... love the Glühwein on a cold night, munching on Spekulatius Biscuits .... the more traditional the better.
*
2.  I love all Seasons .... love the Winter ... as long as it's crisp and cold, not damp and wet and I'm inside watching the Snow falling .... I hate the rain.
*
3.  I'm half German .... (had you guessed? ... I may have given it away in a previous Dec Post) ... don't ask me which half lol!
*
4.  I love growing Flowers but like a low maintenance Garden.
*
5.  To use my Hubby's words 'My Favourite Job is Ironing' NOT!
*
6.  I'm absolutely MAD ...... about Westies (as if you don't already know that) but I'm also soppy about any animals)
*
7.  I don't like Spiders ... as long as they keep away from me I stay away from them lol!

Well, that wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be.

These are the lovely ladies I have selected to pass this lovely Award on to.

In no particular order.....

Hope this didn't bore you too much.

Many thanks for looking
