October Stampin' Up! Challenge Card B

As mentioned in the previous Post this is the second Card I managed to create out of the challenge items.

I had a chance to play with my new Stampin' Up! Set Greenhouse Garden and used Not Quite Navy Stampin' Write so it that it sat with the Butterfly Tag ....... I smudged the edges and sections inside the Background with Antique Linen Distress Ink and also add a little to the tag ...... I also added a few holes to the tag.

The Sahara Sand Panel is the section cut out from behind the background paper on the 1st Card and of course I had to add a little stitching.

October Stampin' Up! Challenge Card A

I received some lovely Papers and Card in my Stampin' Up! Goodies from Mainly Flowers for October including some Challenge items ........ I loved them on site and wanted to use all of the bits but didn't think the blue in the background paper sat perfectly with the Butterflys Tag (Beautiful Tag which bound all the Envelopes and Card items together) so I managed to stretch the items to create two Cards.

I combined all the bits with a Wizard Butterfly and small Flower Punch.

Recipe List:

I'm guessing on a few items so please forgive me.
Stampin' Up! Background Paper from the Bella Bleu Range
Stampin' Up! ~ Not Quite Navy Card
Stampin' Up! ~ Kraft or Sahara Sand Card (Leaning towards Sahara Sand)
Flower & Butterfly Cut from Stampin' Up! Very Vanilla Card
Stampin' Up! ~ Pocket Silhouette Set ~ Friend to Friend Sentiment
Fiskars Threading Water Border Punch
Small Flower Punch (Used off-cut from the Border Punch for the centre spot)
Elzybells Sugar Candy Inkpad
Spellbinder Wizard Butterfly
Cream Grosgrain Ribbon from my stash

Mainly Flowers ~ Make & Take 2 ~ My Version

This is my version of the Second October Make & Take from Mainly Flowers. I had great fun with this one but I didn't have the same Stampin' Up! Stamps that Joanne used.

The Stamps I used instead were 'Fresh Cuts', 'Pocket Silhouettes' and 'Sincere Salutations'. I used Versamagic Tea Leaves and Red Magic.

I embossed the Flowers in the Card kit to give definition and I used the cut-outs waste from the Fiskars Border Punch for my centre flowers. The large flower is made from the Stampin' Up! scallop punch which has been inked at the edges and then embossed.

Stampin' Up! ~ 'Fresh Cuts' ~ Playing Again!

I just loved this set when I saw it and just knew I'd have fun when I eventually decided to Play.

I think I must be going through a Brown (Versamagic Sahara Sand & Jumbo Java) phase at the moment ........... sorry, hope it's not too boring but you know what it's like when you start making a card and get spin off ideas .......... you get one idea after the other and don't know what to finish first. Hopefully I'll be back to colour again soon.

I used my favourite Background Stamp of the moment which is of course the Stampin' Up! Canvas and combined it with the Fresh Cuts Set.

I stamped the flower over the canvas at the edge of the Card and cut around the petals so I could raise them from the Card .............. finished off with a small Pearl.

The Sentiment has been stamped onto a Nestie Oval and I added some cut out stamped flowers, again finishing off with pearls.

That Hobbycraft Ribbon came in handy again and I had to do a little stitching (the Embroidery Thread is from my stash).

Snowflake Step Card ~ Inspired by Dawns Stamping Studio & Mainly Flowers

The lovely blue cards are from Octobers Make & Take from Joanne (Mainly Flowers) and when I saw the Fab Step Card Tutorial over at Dawns Stamping Studio I knew I had to put the two together.

I didn't have the Stamp Set that Joanne used so I've created my own version of the Step Card from Dawn.

I've used the Stampin' Up! 'Best Wishes & More' Set and the Canvas Background (Just love this Stamp at the moment) with my Adirondack Denim Ink Pad ........... The Canvas was stamped onto white card and then embossed with the new Cuttlebug Snowflake Folder. I then sanded so the Snowflakes popped. I also embossed some of the blue card with same embossing folder ..... Sorry I don't know what the Stampin' Up! Card Shades are.

The Sentiment has been stamped onto a Spellbinder Wizard Trio Label and I doodled around the edges with a black pen. I layered the Snowflakes and label with Foam Pads to give dimension.

This is such a versatile Card shape don't be surprised but I think you will see a lot more of it lol! Like Dawn I could use it again and again.

Wildflowers ~ Having a Play with Stampin' Up!

Was so excited to receive my new Stampin' Up! Greenhouse Garden Set I just had to get the Stamp-a-ma-jig out and have a play straight away ........ I must admit I just went for any card and ink pad as I just wanted to see how the stamps came together.

I first stamped the Background with the Canvas Background and then stamped some of the flowers randomly as I wanted a 'flowers in the field look'.

The Sentiment is from the Sincere Salutations Set and I finished off using a Brown Spot Grosgrain Ribbon from Hobbycraft.

So for saying it was only a tryout I'm really pleased with the result although it's only a simple Card.

Recipe List:
Stampin' Up! ~ Canvas Background
Stampin' Up! ~ Greenhouse Garden Set
Stampin' Up! ~ Sincere Salutations
Versamagic Ink Pad ~ Sahara Sand & Jumbo Java
Brown Spot Grosgrain Ribbon from Hobbycraft
Embroidery Thread from my stash.

Fimo Flower Buttons ~ 'Delicate Daisies'

Well, as mentioned in my previous Post, I've been having a play with Fimo having been inspired by Jane who has a great Tutorial on her Blog if you wanted to have a go.

I've used a Hero Arts Background Stamp and Hero Arts Shadow Ink to create the delicate background .......... I also inked over a plain piece of card with a Brayer and Embossed with one of the new Cuttlebug Folders (Items used listed below).

The Sentiment Oval has been created with Wizard Nesties a Stampin' Up! Sentiment Stamp and of course I had to add at least a little stitching ............... Attached with Foam Pads to give definition.

I threaded plain string through the Buttons holes and made a bow on the largest Fimo Button.

Recipe List:
My Fimo Flower Buttons
Hero Arts ~ K5185 Wallpaper Flowers
Hero Arts ~ Soft Sand Shadow Ink
Stampin' Up! ~ Sincere Salutations
Spellbinder Wizard Oval Nesties
Fiskars Threading Water Border Punch
Cuttlebug ~ Victoria Embossing Folder
Embroidery Thread, Ribbon & String from my stash

'Fimo Buttons' ~ 'Inspired By Jane'

I found Jane over at the Hero Arts Flickr Group and she inspired me to have a go making my own Fimo buttons ........ She has a great Tutorial over on her Blog so why not pop over and have a go as well.

I had Col 45 Fimo for ages for a project but never used it all so it was a great way to use it up and have a play .............. I don't know if I cooked them too long or if the Fimo was too old but I got quite a mottled effect (I quite like it actually).

The Pic above shows the tools I've used (Cake decorating bits & pieces which I've had for a while) The Daisy is a new tool from Hobbycraft (There was a smaller version which I might have to invest in as well lol!)

Thanks for looking and thanks again Jane for giving me the inspiration.
