I've been working on this for a couple of days for Hubby's Auntie whose, you've guessed it, going to be 70!
I'm not sure about it, as I wanted to try something different and I'm not sure if it works.........I like the way the flowers have turned out but I'm not sure if it jells....................I know I wanted the Shabby-Chic look but I don't know if it just looks tatty!
It just so happened to fit nicely into the criteria for two Challenges..........so I just had to enter it for both!
Challenge 2.........over at
Cute Card Thursday is Challenge #48 ~ 'Signs of Spring'...............what could be more Spring Like then....................... Flowers lol!
I cut out my Template for the '70 with Flowers' with my Silhouette..................then stamped the Background details, (Hero Arts Woven Fibres & Small Flower) finishing the base off with the Hand-Stitching details!
The Flowers are cut from Cuttlebug Dies and stamped with my Hero Arts Woven Fibres Stamp........I then crumpled up the Flowers and lightly Sanded for the Shabby Chic look!
I've stamped a 'Happy Birthday' Sentiment and some Flowers & Swirls on the back in Sahara Sand just to tie it together!
