Two Challenges Combined ~ 'Shabby Chic 70'

I've been working on this for a couple of days for Hubby's Auntie whose, you've guessed it, going to be 70!

I'm not sure about it, as I wanted to try something different and I'm not sure if it works.........I like the way the flowers have turned out but I'm not sure if it jells....................I know I wanted the Shabby-Chic look but I don't know if it just looks tatty!

It just so happened to fit nicely into the criteria for two Challenges..........so I just had to enter it for both!

Challenge 1.....over at Stamp Something is '3D Somethings' Challenge.................well, that just had to be the Flowers lol!

Challenge 2.........over at Cute Card Thursday is Challenge #48 ~ 'Signs of Spring'...............what could be more Spring Like then....................... Flowers lol!

I cut out my Template for the '70 with Flowers' with my Silhouette..................then stamped the Background details, (Hero Arts Woven Fibres & Small Flower) finishing the base off with the Hand-Stitching details!

The Flowers are cut from Cuttlebug Dies and stamped with my Hero Arts Woven Fibres Stamp........I then crumpled up the Flowers and lightly Sanded for the Shabby Chic look!

I've stamped a 'Happy Birthday' Sentiment and some Flowers & Swirls on the back in Sahara Sand just to tie it together!

Hubby's 40th Birthday Card!

Well it's Hubby's Birthday tomorrow so I just had to make him a Special Card................with the big 40 on of course lol!

You may also recognise the little Bear........................it's the recycled twin from a post not long ago lol!

The Card has been cut with the Quickutz Silhouette but I've created a second inner layer so that I could emboss this with the Happy Birthday Cuttlebug Folder.............I've then attached it with silicone glue instead of Foam Pads!

I know I'm quite safe putting this on now as he is quietly snoring next door lol!

As you've probably guessed they're all big Football Fans in my Family apart from me lol!

Just to let you know!

Just to let you know..................My other Blog

is now up and running!

I hope that my exclusive Designs appeal if you like Die Cutting like I do!

As you may be aware the prices of Wooden Dies is out of some peoples price range and then you can't always get the Designs that you want for specific Cards or Toppers!

Since acquiring my Sihouette I'm hoping that by sharing some of my Designs with you, I'm able to fill the gap and earn a little pocket money too!

I have some more Template Ideas to add of things I already have available!

And look out for BETSY & BERTIE who will be in residence soon lol!

Thanks for looking and I hope this might prove of interest!
